Everyone is grilling today — the 4th of July, which means good food and good times. And that continues tomorrow at the Manzanita Farmers Market. We’ve got all kinds of grilling and cooking going on — from burgers and sausage to Hawaiian food and Crepes. Country Barbecue will have chicken hindquarters and corn-on-the-cob, and everyone can have their favorite … food now and stock up on fresh local veggies and berries for the weekend.

Music to Shop (and Eat) To …

Guitarist Jason Okamoto will delight market shoppers with his guitar virtuosity. The Kids Stuff booth will be busy with face painting and games. The Manzanita Farmers Market is the place to be from 5 to 8 pm on Friday evenings.

Summer Time Meals Made Easy

Room for dessert? Be sure to pick-up your pie first as the Nehalem Bay Pie Co. regularly sells out quickly; cookies, cakes or bread from Handy Creek Bakery; Five Rivers Coffee Roasters with cookies and delicious coffee (also Pelican Pub beer, too.) FRESH has baked sweet treat, and healthy wraps, soups and whole fruit smoothies.

According to the calendar, it truly IS summer on Friday June 21st. Come celebrate the Summer Solistice at the Manzanita Farmers Market.
Crepe Neptune will be serving up a summer solistice special crepe — grilled chicken, fresh vegetables, Hoisin sauce and Sriracha.
There are lots of ready-to-eat foods and a wide variety of meats, eggs, vegetables and fruits available from LOCAL farmers and producers.

Sharp knives are important in every cook’s kitchen. Bring your knives to the market on Fridays and visit the Edgewise Sharpening van. They will sharpen them while you do your shopping. And check-out their wonderful
selection of embroidery aprons and much more.

Flag Day June 14th, and there will be plenty of veggies — beets, carrots, scallions, peas, spring onions, radishes, turnips, new potatoes, kale, chard, salad mix, spinach — YUM!! STRAWBERRIES and raspberries will be there, too. New vendors, plants galore and MUCH MORE

Join us for music by Kris Deelane, and face painting and games for the kids. The Manzanita Farmers Market is the place to be from 5 to 8 pm on Friday evenings.
